Internship update

So I have received the contract, and went to the Burgersamt today and applied for lengthening my resident permit... hopefully everything will be alright at the pick-up termin. But a new requirement from the contract is to provide the company with a "university registration" statement covering the whole internship period, and my existing one will be expired on 30th Sep again. So the next task is to figure out how to keep my student status... :p It is not so easy given I haven't attempted the "german as a foreign language" test. Maybe the next step is to take the test in July?!

Fumi, Angie, Ting, Ying and Reenee inside the crowd Today we went to one of the biggest events in Tuebingen today, with around 5000 people (1/8 residents in Tuebingen) gathering around the Neckar to watch the yearly punting race. The buses going to the river were extremely full. We had to go to the Neckar 2 hours before the match to reserve a good place for viewing. Luckily me and Fumi met Ying and friends, who were very early there. The crowd and the yearly punting competition The tradition is that: the winners have to give a party afterwards, and the losers have to drink a full glass of Lebertrank, while the people shout "Wir trinken Bier, was trinkt ihr?" I need another miracle...

Today is the 2nd day of my kajak course. We went to the Oben Nacker. A river is more difficult than a lake... and today I've made my very bad decision of bringing my camera along... My kajak over-turned, and I didn't realize my plastic bag has a hole... The camera was wet, and up to this moment, it cannot be turned on.... The people around are more knowledgable in telling me what I should do with the camera. The first-aid procdure is to take the battery out. (But I had already done some wrong steps before this... :p) I really need some miracles next week, both for the camera and other aspects of life...

Kajak@Baggersee

A lake called Baggersee nearby and kayaking Joined a weekend Kajak course today. The weather was super!! We went to a lake nearby called Baggersee, and played from 9am to 4pm. It was quite tiring. This is my first time to try Kajak, and my skills is too bad. My Kajak always spin... We had to wear a swimsuit underneath, and everyone was forced to fall into the water once... But it was a lot of fun!!! Many Kajaks and a nice field of grass
