Was ist so besonders mit dem Mahjong des Taiwaners?

- Man spielt mit 17 Steine instatt 13.

- Sogar mit einem Punkt kann man das Spiel gewinnen und beenden

- Mit verschiedenen Munster kann man das Spiel mit extra Punkte winnen, z.B. der Stein in der Mittel in einer Dritte, die Steine 1 oder 9.

Es ist eigentlich sehr schwerig, Munster mit hohen Punkten zu machen...

Employment policies

The employment policies of various international companies... At Microsoft: Recruiter C "I recently saw your resume and would like to consider you for technical positions in Shanghai or Beijing as all the US work permits are gone." My reply: I am very interested in applying for a developer position in *Microsoft China, preferably Beijing* Recruiter C: "We are going to consider you for positions in the US since you are a citizen of Australia." At IBM: It is written on the application form that local candidates will be given priorities. And in fact, if you don't hold the corresponding citizenship, the chance is almost zero as a fresh graduate, unless you are extremely outstanding. (My supervisor in Germany even told me the extra rules for hiring Chinese...) At Bloomberg: The same story holds true. If you are not a UK citizen, you cannot be considered for a position in London. But in general, companies are willing to apply for a work permit for you if you are working in Asia, e.g. Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, etc.

Das Zug-Ticket und das "Himmel-Licht"

Heute haben wir einen Ausflug nach ShiFen gemacht um den Wasserfall zu gucken. Wir sind zum 5: Eric, Gervase, Ryan, Thomas und ich. Leider haben wir in Taipei Hauptbahnhof lange Zeit gebraucht und habe wir den Zug verpasst. Erst nach 14 Uhr waren wir in ShiFen.

Ich glaube, ShiFen ist eine kleine typische Taiwanesische Dorf. Es gab nicht so viel dort. Wegen begrenzte (limited?) Zeit, haben wir den Wasserfall auch nicht besucht... Wir sind in einige Doerfe gegangen. Auf dem Himmel gab es kein Himmel Licht von uns, dann wir habe das *verbrant* auf dem Boden... schade...

Naeschte mal sollen wir alles besser geplant.
