Arrival Ankruft

I arrived at Frankfurt airport, but couldn't find the Fernbahnhof. I asked a German lady and followed her for some 700m walk with > 30kg of luggage. I told myself I will never repeat the same mistake. From the Reiser zentrum, I brought a Bahncard 100. By chance, I met Shuchen at the Fernbahnhof, without her, I really don't know how I could load the luggage on the train. The train arrived late at the Stuttgart Hbf. I was suprised to learn I can take the next train without paying extra fare.

I came across Shu Chen at Frankfurt Fernbahnhof. Posted by Picasa Jo picked me up at the train station, and it was another pain to move the luggage to her Wohnheim. I had a Doener as lunch outside the Kirche, and watched the performance of a Strassekunsler. I stayed at Jo's place for the first night, because I cannot pick up my room keys on Sunday. I met Jo's neighbor with a strange plant.

My internet purchase

After I received an email reply from the seller yesterday, saying that he's gonna re-ship if this package doesn't arrive in 1 week, today I found a collection card at my mailbox. Actually this package has arrived 2 days ago when nobody was at home... :p According to the seller, it was shipped on 27th Sep, given it arrives on 5th Oct, that is 7 business days in total. Having suffered from the mail lost phobia for so many days, I guess I will be in the future more reluntant to purchase online. I was charged 16 USD for the postage, and the net postage cost is 12USD. Given the amount of packing materials to protect the products, I find the shipment cost reasonable... =p Although the seller could have provided me cheaper shipment options, obviously using this large package to contain only 2 tiny products (at the bottom of this photo) is over-killing.

Package Posted by Picasa Glad that this package arrived on the last day before I leave!

Leaving HK soon

Will leave HK tomorrow evening. My request for 30kg luggage at Thai Airways was approved! :D It's quite cold at night there right now, 10C. I brought also a rice cooker, but it is hidden behind the clothings. Purchased today a new bag at Gigasport! pack Posted by Picasa

Busy with tiny bits...

Contacted the HK Post Office. It seems there is no way to track my package. No reply yet from the seller, I'm not sure if I sent my purchase order enquiry pre-maturely, because it's only a week from the claimed shipment date. I really hope I don't need to experience the process of firing a claim at PayPal.

Purchased a feather coat at CWB. Went to my last swimming class: I learnt a bit of butterfly stroke :D

Oral defense + German test

I had my oral defense at 11am, CYC 313: 1 internal + 1 external + exam chairman + 1 supervisor. Hopefully, everything will get over soon... Cleaned up my desk at HW327. Went Home, then went out again for my German oral practice with a classmate. We were supposed to meet at around 4:45pm at Cafe de Corol. This is a time she suggested!!! (IMO, it's unnecessary to practice for so many hours before a test :p) I called her and was directed to her voice mailbox. At 5:10pm she called me, and told me she's still at school. Then she came 1+ hour late. I think I'm too kind in not showing my temper. For whatever reason, I think she could SMS me in advance, so that I could sleep for an hour more at home (especially when felt very very tired). Anyway, I passed my Start Deutsch II, but what I care is the score which will be released next week... :p I have not received my second shipment yet. Originally I thought it is safer to purchase from this seller, but it turned out I received the order from the more dangerous seller already. Unpredictable life!! My mail lost phobia is getting worse. PLEASE... let me receive my package before I leave HK!!! Best "stupid" DC as of today: http://www.dpreview.com/news/0509/05092901fuji_f11.asp Best "real" DC as of today: http://www.dpreview.com/articles/olympuse500/ I doubt if I will ever purchase a "real" DC...
