Friendship or networking?

Laurent suddenly contacted me at 9pm+ to seek help for his African friend, who is trapped at the HK airport with only 20RMB in his pocket, without eaten anything for 1 day... You know this world sucks if you have a friend in the grass root class struggling everyday for basic survival (I'd view it this way :p), and so do his friends... If I was in HK, I'd definitely help him to contact the airport or the immigration office. Will I travel to the airport and give this stranger money? This is a real test. A deeper thought makes me feel this world is so cold. The risk for this problem is little, the bigger part is about sacrificing the traveling time to save, a stranger. And... if this is really a way to save him... P.S. Finally the problem turned out to be caused by an unconfirmed flight ticket. A guy traveling from African to GuangZhou with 4 connecting flights from different airlines. I do imagine people treat him worse than normal because he is black, but the whole story is the kind which a normal person will not encounter...

Jiji 集集

Today Aileen brought me to JiJi. It is a small town famous for her train station. We rented two bikes, but after 1/3 of the journey, we discovered the roads are all up hills. We did make the first turn, but then we decided to park our bikes on the road side. We continued to walk, and met a tunnel. Finally, we just turned our way back.

The other way is actually a flat cycling track. It's funny why the bike rental shop owner didn't warn us when he told us to go the other way. We visited a school and a park. It was a nice day.
