Schulung@Stuttgart Marketing

Today I had the training for the World-cup volunteer work at Stuttgart Marketing office. It was a 2-hour information session about the history of the city and the buildings... We received 2 training documents and a bag of 3kg brochures. There are a few interesting highlights: 1) The most detailed tourist brochure is only available in German, because it is for "the-insiders" :p 2) During the period of the world cup, people can pay 3 Euro to have a short-term library card at the city library. There are books-return points at the airport and the train station, so that people have no excuse not to return the books... 3) An *important* information for tourists is the location for the toilet :p Der Stadtrundfahrt und auf einer Strasse mit viel Kunst Posted by Picasa After the training, there is a free city-tour. It is a bus "running-horse-watching-flower" tour. But one of the streets is very interesting. I didn't completely understand what the narrator told, but I guess it's a street where the artists live, so there are arts displays here and there. Near the end of the tour, we talked a little bit in the city center at the old and new schloss, and the Schlossplatz. Der alte Schloss und der Schlossplatz Posted by Picasa
